Buvana Ramaswamy was a huge part of the FEMA Mapping Program for over 22 years. Buvana's contribution to the FEMA program and her support of co-workers was tremendous. In honor of Buvana, we will award the Big Heart, Bold Life award to one person who best exemplifies Buvana's spirit every year. The individual recognized with the Big Heart, Bold Life Award will select a charity to which a combined donation will be made in memory of Buvana. Risk MAP team members are encouraged to contribute to the award fund annually.

The 2nd Annual Big Heart, Bold Life Award nomination period is now open! Nominations will close on November 17, 2024. The award winner will be selected be awarded by in January 2025.
